Advice for Parents
Care Packages and Goodies
Care packages from home are very important to our Mids. Try to send them unusual care packages
filled with food or games that will surprise and delight them. However, if time is running short,
or you are just not into that "baking thing" there are several alternatives you might like to
consider. Send gift certificates from national chain restaurants or call some of the following
places and deliver goodies to your Mid. What ever you choose, it's important to show your Mid
that you're thinking about them and to give them the encouragement to hang in there.

Calvary Cookie Factory
To help finance their Work Mission the youth of Calvary United Methodist Church will bake chocolate
chip cookies and deliver them fresh to the Academy at the cost of about $2.00 per dozen. Deliveries are
made eight times during the academic year on a Saturday afternoon. This one gets high marks from the Mids.

Graul's Market
This local grocery store will deliver specially designed cakes for all occasions - The Dark Ages, Army/Navy games,
